Hugh-Mysty,-104

Page history last edited by kimx1984@... 15 years, 4 months ago

Hugh Mysty, a former detective who was famous for having solved the legendary mystery of the JK murder case in 1948, was found dead in his car yesterday. He was 104.

It was said that he died from heart attack. His car was parked near Lake Harriet, not far from the amphitheater.

His neighbors said that he used to walk along the lake with his 5 puppies even though he sometimes fell down with the tangled leashes. Also he enjoyed water skiing there. His friends thought that he liked the lake so much. Some people insist that he found the critical evidence of the murder while he was eating ice cream with his late ex-wife near the amphitheater in 1948.

Hugh married a famous fiction writer, Carol Wilson, when he was 40 years old. He had 2 sons from his first marriage (Edward and Alyssa). His family life had never been stable since the mysterious death of his wife. Although he married Anna Foyer again, he used to visit his former wife's grave weekly.  Another critical moment in Hugh's life was the death of his grandfather Mysty II. Mysty II who had been Hugh's guardian since he was 4 died at the age of 135.  Mysty family is known for longevity.

He was an outstanding detective, well know for his sagacity and his outstanding way of solving any mystery. Some people called him 'flash' because he solved mysteries in just 2 hours. In 1967, he was awarded 'Best Detective in the Century' for his brilliant and significant career.

His neighbors added some unknown facts about him in the interview: he liked to travel to remote places alone like Alaska, or some desert areas in US. And his family almost gave up about his traveling. Every time he came back, he would give some presents like sands or small pebbles to his neighbors. He was known as a little weird person but a very kind and sweet man.

His family said that there must have a reason he went to the lake without notifying them. According to his family, he always wanted to finish his life staring at the lake. Actually, this is quite controversial because his co-worker said that he wanted to finish his life in his office, working.

However, a police officer investigating the case reported that there are some doubts about his death. One of his sons told the police officer that his father received death threats from unknown person after the capture of the famous mafioso wretch Alfaro Mussolini in 2006. Hugh allegedly played an important role in laying out the plan for Alfaro capture.

Hugh Mysty is survived by his two sons.
